SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submissions MUST be in 2 documents:


(1) cover page and abstract 

(2) Manuscript: (Warnings: Do not include the cover page)

Format & Style

  • The cover page should include: author’s title, full name, institutional affiliation, address, email address, and phone numbers.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in one of the following formats: Open Office file, Microsoft Word, or Word Perfect document.
  • The abstract must be in italics, single-spaced, and should not exceed 300 words. Additionally, provide five keywords arranged alphabetically.
  • The main body of the manuscript should be no longer than 8,000 words, with 1.5-line spacing and a 12-point font (Arial or CG Omega). Italics should be used for emphasis instead of underlining.
  • All illustrations, tables, and figures should be placed within the text at their appropriate locations rather than at the end. Titles and section headings should be clear and concise. Proper sources must be cited for tables and images.
  • When using proprietary terms or trademarks, authors must use the symbols ® or TM.
  • Manuscripts reporting investigations should be organized as follows: Title Page, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations, and References (APA 7th edition).
  • Plagiarism Check: Manuscripts should not exceed a 20% similarity index.

Authors’ Instructions

Authors are invited to submit papers for publication via the “Submission” section on our website or through email (fjts@firs.gov.ng). Submissions are accepted for review under the following conditions:

  1. All manuscripts must be in English and in MS Word format.
  2. They have not been published in whole or in part in any other journal.
  3. The email addresses and telephone numbers of all authors must be provided.
  4. Illustrations (figures) of manuscripts should be in computer format.
  5. Manuscripts submitted under multiple authors are reviewed on the assumption that all listed authors concur with the submission and that a copy of the final manuscript has been approved by all authors.

Review Process

The review outcome will be one of the following:

  1. Under Review
  2. Accepted
  3. Rejected
